Fusion Chip (PHENOM PROCESSOR)

Phenom is Advances Micro Devices’ (AMD) desktop microprocessor. It is based on the K10 microarchitecture or Family 10h Processors. The triple-core versions, code-named Toliman, will be the Phenom 8000 series, quad cores, code-named Agena, in the Phenom 9000 series, and high-end enthusiast versions, code-named Agena FX, in the Phenom FX series.

The Phenom processor has an integrated memory controller, cache, and four cores on a single chip. It is currently available in speeds up to 2.3GHz.

AMD is expected to launch several models of the Phenom processor in 2008.

AMD’s Fusion chip will be based on Phenom. The Fusion chip combines a graphics processing unit and CPU on one chip. Fusion chip will be made using AMD’s 45-nanometer production technology. Read the rest of this entry…

The youth today is endowed with much potential brought about by advancement in genetics, education, and character formation. It is just an unfortunate truth that much of these potentials are not utilized. Why is this happening to the nation? It is just that FEAR is always behind the hopes of making a difference. There is always a fear of being rejected, being ashamed, or failing in whatever steps we plan to take. That is why more and more young people become self-centered and they no longer think of society. On the other hand, why is it that there is still a handful of the youth who rally on the streets - hoping that their voices would be heard? Rallying on the top of your lungs to call for changes is not necessarily the ideal way. What we are trying to imply is that why can’t we, who did not choose to voice out our concerns, do a little to help these people? Our brothers and sisters, who have taken theĀ  bold stand in the hope of succeeding in changing the bitter lives we are having. Read the rest of this entry…

“Where are the youth who will consecrate their golden hours, their illusions, and enthusiasm for the welfare of the nation? Where are they who would generously shed their blood to wash away so much shame, so much crime, so much abomination? Pure and spotless the victim has to be for the holocaust to be acceptable! Where are you, youth who will incarnate in yourselves the vigor of life that has fled from our veins, the purity of ideas that have soiled in our minds and the fire of enthusiasm that has been extinguished in our hearts? We wait for you, O youth! Come, for we await you!”

So spoke Fr. Florentino in the last chapter of Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere. A line seeking for the youth, who are and who forever will be the only hope for the nation. The question is: have we ceased thinking about our social responsibility for our nation’s welfare?
