Willie Revillame in Politics?
I’m not liking Willie Revillame but I love the kind of program which he is in.It’s not because I’m enjoying the sexy girls dancing nor the weird things that I see done by its hosts, audiences and staffs.I admit it’s sometimes funny but I’m not really into it.In the first place I’ve got no time to watch it! The very thing that I admire is the fact that the noontime variety program is collecting and saving money for the needy Filipinos. In becoming the instrument in entertaining and reaching for less fortunate ones people love him. However, the idea that he might enter politics annoys me! I don’t want him to enter any political organization and be one of those flowery/decorative public servants. They win because they’re popular and it isn’t helping the crawling economy of the country. When will the Filipinos learn our lesson from past experiences!? ![]()
He didn’t announce/declare that he’s running in 2010 Election. It’s possible though! Other politicians might use him and he might be encourage to join them! If this thing happens I’ll stop voting during the election period! (Just kidding!)Of course I’m going to use my right as one of the citizes in this republic.
I’m hoping that destiny won’t allow it to happen…….

1 commentWho says the government never helps anyone?
When you look around right now, it’s easy to get depressed. You know people who have picked up pink slips. There are houses in your area that have been foreclosed and they are just sitting there like rotting teeth in your neighborhood because no-one’s buying. And what are those guys doing up there in Washington? Well they seem to be doing nothing that’s really going to help the ordinary people of America. They are carrying on with the same old, same old arguments. Tax cuts solve all our problems. We’ve got to spend billions to rebuild America. Like tax cuts are going to help you when you’re unemployed, and planning something to build is going to make for new work opportunities tomorrow. Well, for once, there is some good news. The Stimulus Package has hundreds of pages and thousands of plans but there’s one that might turn out to be a “good thing”. Now don’t you go holding your breath because what it says in something produced by Washington may not work out on Main Street. But let’s look on the bright side for once. This one may just pay off.
If you have the cash or access to credit or you totaled your last vehicle and the insurers paid out a fair value, you’re looking for a new car or truck. Well, hold off for a few days to see how this pans out. The Stimulus Package potentially allows you to deduct sales or excise taxes if the car you buy costs less than $49,500. If confirmed, you can take advantage of this as an above-the-line deduction so long as your personal income as a single person is less than $125,000, married couples qualify when their aggregate income is less than $250,000 - that’s most of us, right? There will be no need for you to itemize to make the claim. So exactly how much will you save? Well, those eager beaver tax experts have been burning the midnight oil so here goes with an example. Suppose your state has a sales tax of 5% and you spend $40,000 to buy a vehicle, you can deduct $2,000 from your gross income. This offer is limited in time. You have to buy between the date the bill is signed into law and December 31. The hope is this will encourage you to go buy a new car sooner rather than later. Not only will you save money but it will help Detroit as well.
So, if you do take advantage of this deal, the terms of your financing package will require a new auto insurance policy, probably with comprehensive and collision included. To get the best deal, you need to hit the online sites to get the maximum number of quotes. Remember, you’re not looking for the cheapest car insurance policy on the planet, you’re looking for the best value-for-money policy on the planet that will give you the best protection for the lowest possible premium.
1 commentEveryday is Valentines Day
Yesterday people around the world celebrated Heart’s Day.A day for love and lovers. There were many offers and freebies offered to people since it’s lovers’ day.Couples went out, ate together and reminisced their past romantic experiences.I didn’t go out yesterday with my hubby. We planned to but my mom wasn’t feeling well. We preferred to stay at home.I didn’t feel bad that weren’t able to go to the mall, watch a movie or have our dinner outside. My mom’s condition is more important and I know that my hubby will do the same if he’s in my case. I wasn’t bored though that we were at home. I did a lot of things and my day was productive.Him and I decided to go out today. In fact we just got home.
Personally speaking everyday is a Valentines Day if we give love to every people regardless of our differences in life.Showing love to them daily counts than remembering them only on February 14 each year. Letting them know that we love them through our actions will make them feel that they are loved. It’s nice to have this kind of celebration for it brings people’s relationship closer.Year after year my Valentines Day gets better and better. And the most important one is the love that I give to the Holy One.
No commentsPractice Makes Perfect
My brother-in-law is fond of playing golf.He got only two sports; bowling and golf. My sister goes with him every time he plays. My sister is also into it since they go out together over the weekend.I heard that a golf in Chiemsee is great! I read some about it and I knew that they’re offering tutorials with regards to this kind of sport.Of course to be able to become a good player you should have a good teacher along with constant practice, dedication and willingness to be taught by those who already had the experience.
My brother-in-law visited Germany once. He’s into Golf sport.I’m not sure if he was able to play golf in Deutchland.I have relatives living in there and according to them they heard about this good German golf portal for those who are beginners and aspiring golf players.
If you’re unaware I’m a teacher and we have one student in our center who’s sport is golf too. His dad is a trainer so it’s a big advantage to him! His father is teaching him since he was young and now he’s joining competitions in their country. He just came here in the Philippines to enhance his English proficiency. They feel that they need it since they’re competing worldwide!
When I was a kid I never admire golf but now that I’m already a grown-up I realized how great it is and how I appreciate the people who play good with it.Playing golf is not just about hitting the ball but it requires right timing and speed to perfectly reach your targeted hole/goal.
Practice makes perfect and good teacher will produce good students. So if you’re planning to learn some sports, have the teachable spirit plus learning with those individuals who have the expertise like. Not just only in ways and strategies but in choosing on which sporting materials are best for you.
Superstitious Beliefs in Holiday Season
Do you have superstitious beliefs that you follow every time the New Year comes?
Well in the Philippines, there are many traditions and practices that people do and follow annually to observe this season. For every occasion it’s like you are ought to do things which are told to you by elders like birthdays, weddings, burials most especially when we celebrate Christmas or New Year. According to our ancestors if you do all those things it’ll bring fortune. We consider these things as superstitious beliefs. It is called so because the things we do is not proven by knowledge or reason that it’ll have a specific outcome.
Most of these practices were adopted from Spanish people. Since they lived and ruled in the Philippines for a very long time, old Filipinos learned and copied their ways in the past. I made a list of some things that are done by Filipinos during holiday season
- Have the complete set of 13 circular fruits on the table on New Year’s eve
- Â Don’t forget to have a sticky dessert because it means a closer bond and relationship to your love ones
- Do not empty your wallet. It isn’t a good start of the year if you’re penniless.
- Don’t spend money on the night of December 31!
- Jump high on New Year’s eve if you want to get taller
- Let the doors of your house open to welcome the positive energies and for the good things to enter into your household
In the case of my family, we’re not doing it. To some, nothing’s lost if you will try. My mom’s philosophy is different and we follow different ways to achieve the things that we want. No work, no glory. She doesn’t want us to get aligned with that kind of thinking.Superstition has no space in our house.

No commentsE-tricycle
If you heard about e-jeepneys now here comes the so called e-tricycles! E-tricycle or electronic tricyle is a vehicle which is operated with the use of electricity. There’s no need of a gas to let the vehicle run!In Taguig, Philippines’ e-tricycles are running on the roads. Each unit costs Php 140,000. In a traditional tricycle you can’t get rid of the annoying sound which is so irrititating plus the bad smell coming out from its smoke engine! Other people love the smell but I hate it! Moreover, only 5 passengers are allowed in it but in an e-tricycle 7 people can enjoy the ride!
Using this kind of vehicle can give us more advantage. We can have a cleaner air to breathe, cleaner environment, less noise pollution and we can save too because for charging it for 10 hours it only costs Php40 and it can survive the day!Isn’t it a good news?
The local government of Taguig suggests that drivers can give away their old tricycles by trading it and get e-tricycles instead. They will help these drivers to get units which will give them low terms of payment.
If you’ll ask me, I would prefer to use e-tricycles. It looks classy. elegant and it has no bad smell. The sound of traditional tricycles really annoys me and I hate riding in it because it’s so small and it’s uncomfortable for passengers!
What do you think? Which one is better?

10th Trade Expo in Davao
Last October 23-25 thousands of Dabawenyos visited the Davao Convention and Trade Center for the 10th Trade Expo. More than 4,000 people came to look for their fortune! As recorded on the last day, almost 70% who look for greener pastures get employed!
On the first day, many were glad because their effort of coming over and falling in line for a long time was paid back. On a certain day a total of 78 people got the job vacancy abroad and 64 for the local hiring.
The requirements ask to all applicants are easy to comply because the NBI, PhilHealth,NSO and SSS had supported the job fair by putting their booth for the convenience of the applicants. A total of 130 exhibitors were present and offered job opportunities! Unemployment is somehow given an action with the said trade expo.
Personally speaking, I can feel that there’s a lot changes that will happen to Mindanao especially here in Davao. In the coming years tall buildings are about to rise. Roads are widened. Additional shopping malls will be constructed. The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry or DCCCI are helping for making it possible. In fact they’re planning to conduct trainings and seminars to help those who are interested to make their own business and improve their annual sales. Mindanao is still open for businesses and investors! More business would mean more job opportunities for the people of Davao. That’s what our Mayor is after-to provide jobs for his people.
This year’s job fair was made possible with the joint effort done by the local industry unit and DOLE XI.
In line with the trade expo that happened, the group Kilusan Mayo Uno had showed their disagreement on the government’s action in solving the unemployment rate in the country by doing a rally in front of the DFA building. Their questioning the labor export in which OFW’s remittance serves as a way to pay the country’s debt on World Bank.
In my case, I’m somehow happy for people who found their jobs last month with the aid of Trade Shows in Davao. At least we have a lesser number of people who are not employed nowadays.

No commentsUsing Projectors
I belong in the field of Education and I know that right choice of teaching materials will boosts learning and make it more effective. As teachers we should make use of what’s available and give the best to our learners. Employing technological gadgets is a good source. Sometimes we use projectors, slides and power point presentation. When projector’s lamp is broken we can get good quality at projector lamp center. They can give what you need for your TV’s and projectors. It’s a good thing to know that we know where to go when we are in need of something. It saves time, money and effort plus you get the exact product that you want.
Â
In addition, it’s important then to repair any damages with your materials since it affects the normal flow of teaching-and-learning process. I always remember the words of my college professors. I’m instilling in my mind the thought of not giving limitations to your teaching approaches and strategies. Teaching is a challenging task especially when you’re an ESL mentor or English as a Second Language teacher.
No commentsNature of Endless Desire
Things on earth are deceiving. Everybody wants to become rich, fabulous, popular, visit exclusive and expensive travel spots and have that power to rule over others. But the question is- Are they really happy with it?
Reasons were seen and observed why people are unhappy in spite of the riches and comforts that they have. First, they always compare themselves to other people. They envy others who have more power, wealth and possessions than them. Second, mass media had feed us with false happiness and serenity. People’s wealth is featured on tv. Their accomplishments were televised. All the people around the world know the kind of family they have and their businesses. With all of these things people are tempted to be like them. To do whatever they can just to reach that standard of living. Insecurities can make us go crazy and worst-kill us. It’s not good to feel jealous and always want the same luxury and comfort. Wanting to live a better life isn’t bad. However if you know that’s impossible to happen then you better stop dreaming. Third, people are simply not satisfied. They always want more. I read someone’s opinion which says-Anyone who says that being poor is better than rich is a hypocrite. He added that satisfaction is the end of progress. I agree in his statements. But of course we have to be watchful.
