Tracking Device

December 28th, 2008 | Category: Life

I didn’t take a nap this afternoon. I wasn’t sleepy so since I got nothing to do I spent few hours in watching a movie. Everybody was sleeping. I got really bored! I looked for some DVDs and I found “Enemy of the State”. The main cast was Will Smith. I like him. So are his movies.

In the movie, he was a good and respected lawyer with loving wife. He’s got a son. His life turned  upside down when somebody who had recorded the death of a congressman passed the copy of the said video to him unknowingly!

I had read a book closely similar to this movie and one of the supporting character was right when he said that “the more you use advanced technologies the easier for the state to locate your whereabouts”. Through the satellite, whatever and whoever can be monitored with the use of a tracking device. This is a great help for people’s protection and for depending the nation’s freedom. On the other hand, people’s privacy is no longer enjoyed if you’re being tracked, right?

The movie was good. I enjoyed it. I took the chance to watch one because I seldom watch movies at home. Most of time I’m with my buddy-the computer!LOL I rarely watch movies in the internet also because I prefer to pour my thought and update my blogs.

E-tricycle

December 25th, 2008 | Category: Point of Views

If you heard about e-jeepneys now here comes the so called e-tricycles! E-tricycle or electronic tricyle is a vehicle which is operated with the use of electricity. There’s no need of a gas to let the vehicle run!In Taguig, Philippines’ e-tricycles are running on the roads. Each unit costs Php 140,000. In a traditional tricycle you can’t get rid of the annoying sound which is so irrititating plus the bad smell coming out from its smoke engine! Other people love the smell but I hate it! Moreover, only 5 passengers are allowed in it but in an e-tricycle 7 people can enjoy the ride!

Using this kind of vehicle can give us more advantage. We can have a cleaner air to breathe, cleaner environment, less noise pollution and we can save too because for charging it for 10 hours it only costs Php40 and it can survive the day!Isn’t it a good news?

The local government of Taguig suggests that drivers can give away their old tricycles by trading it and get  e-tricycles instead. They will help these drivers to get units which will give them low terms of payment.

If you’ll ask me, I would prefer to use e-tricycles. It looks classy. elegant and it has no bad smell. The sound of traditional tricycles really annoys me and I hate riding in it because it’s so small and it’s uncomfortable for passengers!

What do you think? Which one is better?

ABSCBN Kapamilya welcomes Karylle

December 15th, 2008 | Category: Latest/Hottest Issues

In Sunday variety program of ABSCBN which is ASAP ‘08 Karylle’s fellow actors and actresses welcomed her yesterday. They officially announced that she’s now a certified Kapamilya. Karylle is Zsa-Zsa Padilla’s daughter who’s working in other network. Perhaps she decided to moved to another network because of her current relationship with Ding Dong Dantes which is no longer good. Dingdong is now linked to Mariane Rivera, a beautiful, sexy and newy-born actress, model and product endorser.Well, in showbiz it’s pretty normal. If you’re not strong enough to handle this kind of event, your career will die!And so are you!

Karylle is lucky because she has her mom to save her and continue her singing and acting career in ABSCBN. She’s got talent too! In fact ,she was the one who sang the Philippine National Anthem during the fight of Manny Pacquiao and Dela Hoya in Dream Match lately.I saw some of her movies and soap operas too.

Zsa Zsa was happy to declare to people that finally she’ll be working with her daughter. She dreamed of it long time ago and it’s happening ! She revealed that sometimes she envied Mr Gary Valenciano because his son Gab is working with him unlike her.

Kaylle can do many things in ABSCBN Network. She’ll surely get projects because I know that she’s an asset to the company. She’s not the major one though.Good luck to her and we’ll see more of her in Kapamilya shows.

A Beauty Candidate died during the Search Proper

December 11th, 2008 | Category: Latest/Hottest Issues

Do you still remember the freshman student who was studying in the University of Southeastern Philippines or USep Obrero campus and was burned to death? Her name is Sheryl Sarate. She was one of  16 contestants joining the Beauty Contest in College of Arts and Sciences or CAS Department of USeP. The accident happened during their production number because her costume was made out of cotton and plastic cover. The organizers of the said competition had put up candles where candidates  catwalk!

Cheryl Sarate Death

It happened last July 20, 2006 in the Social Hall of the said University. After less than 2 years the case is again talked about.A resolution was finally released declaring 6 or 7 people will be charged with negligence resulting to homicide. It involves school officers and students as well. Two of them are the College Dean Dr Marie Rose Escalada and Student Security Organization or SSO head Romulo Dequito. Rosita Sarate, Cheryl’s mom is happy to know that her family is getting justice with what happened to her daughter. This coming December 15th at 2pm a hearing will happen.

The lack of sufficient school facilities allow accidents  to worsen instead of preventing it. I was so shocked when I heard the news because I never thought that the victim will die. I didn’t think that she’d got worst condition when she was rushed to the hospital. Many people made fun out of it after the accident happened. Funny text messages were passed on to people which emphasized Cheryl Sarate’s motto in her profile which is “Expect the Unexpected”.

I felt sorry for what happened to her. She was just a new student and just starting to make her dreams do come true by getting a degree in USep.Unfortunately it wasn’t a happy ending when she left the school.

Celebrity Christmas Bazaar for a Cause

December 04th, 2008 | Category: Life

Kind-hearted showbiz personalities are again working hand in hand to help the needy and indigenous people. The true spirit of Christmas is sharing and giving love.According to ABSCBN Network President Charo Santos-Concio Christmas is all about love and nothing else. I heard her say those words in their station Christmas I.D.

We can give love during Holiday season through offering to people what we have and sharing our blessings to them. It’s better to give than to receive as we commonly heard. We are  lucky than those who spend their holiday at the hospital or at the streets.

Christine Bersola-Babao, Mickey Ferriols and Giesel Sanchez are only few of the celebrities who participated in Celebrity Christmas Bazaar for a Cause. They’re selling their old clothes, shoes, bags, belts and other personal accessories to raise fund. The money which will be collected will be used to give happiness and merrier Christmas to different social institutions for kids, old people and handicapped.

The very essence of Christmas is dreaming and hoping for good things to come for other people and not for ourselves. In our own little way, we can help too by donating our old books, toys, clothes etc to fast food chains’ charitable institutions.

May we all have a blessed and happy holiday celebration.
