Motor Vehicles as Public Transportation
In Davao City riding a motorcycle as public transportation is normal. We know that this kind of vehicle is a private one which is suitable for singles or for certain personal purposes. In going to school, in reporting to any offices or in moving from place to place this is observable. It’s been used for a long time now in rural and remote areas but it’s restricted to travel in high ways carrying 4-5 people in one motorcycle without helmets!
The demand of motorcycles in the city is high because many commuters also prefer to ride in it rather than take the jeepneys. Moreover, it’s convenient for earners because they can earn a living plus they have their own service. In addition, it saves time! People can reach their destination at the right time since they can get rid of traffic jams.On the contrary, accidents cause by this vehicle is high. The people are not following what’s regulated. The leader of the city is pissed off with people who sell and buy fake and fashion- purpose head gears! According to our city mayor many could have survived in street accidents if they just wore the proper helmets! So the government is trying to stop this! They want to apply an administrative order that will require all riders to follow the rules. Like for instance, no wearing of slippers, wearing of head gears/helmets, riding boots or protective jacket. However, oppositions occur because it’s not applicable all the time in the Philippines. Unlike in cold and advanced countries, the purpose of wearing a black leather jacket is to fight colds while driving!Consequently, it’s hard for a family with 2 kids to go back and forth if the allowed passenger is only one! It will cost them much for the gasoline and it will utilize more time! For vendors who are using motor vehicles, they’re not ok with the proposal because that’s their way of living. If that will become effective, it might kill their income.People who are selling fruits, squid balls, siopao and other snack food in the streets of Davao are much affected with the latest updates.
The government of Davao is having a hard time in solving this. Of course they want to provide jobs for the constituents of Davao but they also have to think on public safety!. It’s indeed uneasy to be part of the law-making body in the society because there’s a lot of things that you should consider plus you can’t please everybody!
No commentsAfter the Endosulfan Scare, Romblon suffers from water&transportation crisis
The retrieval operation of MV Princess of the Stars in Romblon is still on going. The people of Romblon are still recovering after the accident that happened in their water territory last . Last week, bad weather visited the area again. Due to non-stop heavy rain brought by typhoon Nina, the main bridge was broken. Transportation is somehow penalized. Students and workers can hardly pass to it. They just use piled woods in order to cross. The improvised passage is of cource not 100% safe for people.Water supply is also affected because the water pipes were damaged! Pity to all the people of Romblon. They’re still in the stage of coping up and now they’re fighting for a new one!
The mayor of Romblon is again challenge on how their city will continue to progress after the new disaster that they’re having right now. The city council had decided that they have to do an action first on the retrieval of the poisonous chemical which is endosulfan that are not yet taken from the sunken ship MV Princess of the Stars. The worse thing is , they can’t continue their operation due to bad weather condition.
During my elementary days I cant forget that this city is very rich in marble production.Romblon belongs to Region IV- B with Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro and Marinduque.
No commentsEl Shaddai leader Mike Velarde will run in 2010 Election?
Rumors were heard that there’s a possibility that the leader of spiritual group which is El Shaddai will run as a president in 2010 Philippine Presidential Election. Brother Mike Velarde threw a joke that he might run . When Velarde asked about who will be his vice, he joyfully said that he’ll do it by doing a raffle draw!jajajajaja LOL. It was a joke statement though. What do you think about it? However it wasn’t confirmed yet that he’s really running. Election will be in 2 years from now. Like any other probable candidates in 2010 Election Brother Mike said that it’s too early to talk about it and make a decision.
In an interview,he said that if he’s no longer satisfied with the current political leaders in the country and their performances, that will serve as his drive to run the race. On the contrary, I feel that El Shaddai leader Mike Velarde will not pursue his will to run if majority of his congregation will not allow him to including her wife. He always wants to run. He reaveled that it’s his childhood dream. He added that the reproductive bill should be approved along with sex education for teenagers.
What do you think will be the effect if the country’s leader is a spiritual leader also?
Do you agree with the proposition of Brother Mike Velarde’s cadidacy?
No commentsI could have become an artist!
I took a quiz called “Who Were You in a Past Life?” I am curious about my result so I hurriedly took the test and the result showed that I could have become an artist! It’s not surprising because I do admire art. Any pieces of art is appreciated by me even the scribbles and vague creations of people. Perhaps to some, it’s meaningless but as to me it has conveyed meaning. I definitely believe that “Appreciation is Meaningless without Understanding”. It’s one of my favorite quotes in life. You can’t love a certain thing if you simply don’t like it because you found no meaning in it. In my own little way I make artworks. I like to give unique gifts and I value those people who gave me extra special presents during those memorable days in my life. They’re always treasured and remembered.
I do express my ideas and I don’t copy people’s output because I myself I hate it. I’m annoyed by those people who try to be like me. There’s only one Jazzie! Consequently, irritating ones are those who always replicate and duplicate my creations. “Imitation has never been admired because it’s not genuine!”
Below is the official result and interpretation of my quiz
Artist
Oil painting, sculpture, photography. No matter the medium, it’s clear that an imaginative soul like yours must have been an artist in a former life. With your creativity and originality, you’ve got a unique approach to the world that just begs to be shared with everyone.
Like the great masters who came before you, you march to the beat of your own drummer and don’t follow the herd. You live life by your own rules and aren’t afraid to express your ideas. Lucky for all of us, they’re great ones. So, keep expressing yourself. You’re sure to be legendary!
No commentsWhat kind of girlfriend am I?
I’m doing something important in here but suddenly I got bored. I did stop from working and start surfing. I just felt like taking a test again. Sometimes when I have nothing to do in here, I would love to pick up an interesting online test. At this point in time I wanna rest and enjoy for a while. Few minutes ago, I’d taken up “What kind of girlfriend are you?” quiz. I’m also eager to know what kind of girl lover I am to my boyfriend. As recorded this test was taken for 510,938 times! The said test explains my strength when it comes to relationships..if I am more passionate, supportive or sentimental etc.
My result of the 4-page test is I am a Steady Supporter
——————————————————————————————-
Stand by your man — that’s just something you naturally do. Once you’ve committed to a relationship, you are a constant companion who enjoys the comfort and stability that comes from being a couple. Not quick to judge, accuse, or think the worst, you have a lot of trust (in him and in yourself), and you rarely worry about where he is or who he’s with.
For you, mutual respect is of utmost importance. You are comfortable and confident in your own skin, making you a great pillar of strength in all your relationships. Whether he’s striving to climb a mountain or land a promotion, you have his back. Best part is, you know he’s got yours too.
——————————————————————————————-
The result is very true. I trust him 100%. It doesn’t matter where he is and who’s with him, as long as I know his whereabouts then I’m fine. In addition, I’m not so worried about his personal events. I always support him to whatever he wants to do. However, there’s one thing that I disagree with. He joined a fraternity. Well, there’s nothing that I can do because he joined the group first before we became officially couple. He has his own reason for doing so and I respect him. So far, his fraternity wasn’t my worst rival. It’s his online games!!!! From the start until now, I’m keeping my trust and we both respect each other so much. Moreover, we support each other. Time tested us and the outcome was good so far. Furthermore, the feeling of security towards each other makes our relationship going and keep fighting for the coming struggles.
“Love is definitely the greatest thing on earth” …..

Davao City has 3 districts and 182 barangays. I belong to the 2nd District under Congressman Vincent Gacia.I live in Barangay Gov Paciano Bangoy under the district of Agdao.Yesterday, we celebrated our 18th Foundation Day. This year’s theme was “Balik-lantaw sa Kagahapon, Pamalandong Karon alang sa Kalambuan Ugma”. In line with the celebration, the Sangguninag Kabataan/SK Youth Council had launched their 1st Sk Palaro which was opened last April 27. Last week was the championship games. It was a fund raising activity under the management of Bry Councilour Jovina Casilao who is the chairman in women sector. On the following day, a social service was done called Sara Caravan para sa Barangay. A project of our Vice Mayor Inday Sarah to extend the city’s services to every barangay. Before she and her company left, they offered services coming from the city legal office and veterinarian section. Good news for theCSSDO teachers because a tv set, DVD player, and education CD’s were given away for the improvement of preschoolers learning. Moreover, a solidarity night followed together with the awarding ceremony and giving of certificates. More power to all them. May the development of our barangay will continue to florish and good luck to their future plans.
No commentsMy Wedding Experience
I attended wedding ceremonies many times already but last Saturday’s wedding was kinda memorable. The wedding wasn’t that extravagant. However, I enjoyed it. What makes it memorable is the thing that I was the one who got the bride’s bouquet! It was my first time!LOL Well, I did participate with the informal activity. Of course I don’t want to spoil the happy celebration. When the people were calm, I sat of my chair thinking about mine. I had the thought of myself getting wed. Of who’s gonna be my lifetime partner, when will it be and what would it be…stuffs like that. And oh the message that I got from the wedding cake is ” Soon you will find the man who will love you till the end”. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
My cousin was married at the age of 25. Its been a long time that we’re not seeing each other. Her family moved out and decided to live far from Davao. She met her husband in here and got wed. Entering a marriage life is a new level. Meaning meeting and dealing with more complicated challenges in life. Mom told us that being a mother isn’t an easy task. You are about to give your everything for your children and husband. That marked your official shift from being a single to becoming a mother. For newly weds, they need to have marriage tips for their marriage to work out.
Congratulation to the newly wed, Richard and Maricris. I’m happy for both of them and I wish them a happy, healthy and fruitful family life.
