BLESSING TO YOU

Published by darnet under Thoughts

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won’t survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can hold someone’s hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God’s healing touch.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

* Frequent overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

* Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.

* Frequent attacks of smiling.

* An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them
happen.

* An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

Thoughts to guide us

Published by darnet under Thoughts

Christmas evokes memories and sentiments that travel with us as treasured gifts of our hearts.

It is a time for reflection of the year past, of things done to make a difference in the lives of others.

A time for thanksgiving for the blessings received, as well as the trials that helped shape, strengthen, and mold us to become better pesons.

It is the time for hopes renewed, that with the year ending, a better year looms on the horizon.

It is a time for joy, for celebration of God’s gift as a Saviour that outshines all gifts in the universe.

Christmas in the only season when forgiveness abounds, a time when peace reigns easily in our hearts.

Parents of children suffering from any kind of allergy very well know its implications.  That means frequent vacuum cleaner ratings and an air filter at very orifice of the house.

It is a time for reaching out to our less-blessed fellow travellers by giving time, energy, services, whatever we can to better their plight - devoid of expectations of return.

May the love and humility the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ signified remain etched in our hearts. Let not the frenetic gift-giving and seemingly-endless merriment becloud the pristine message that Christmas imparts. Peace on earth, goodwill to men!!!

Maligaya at Masaganang Pasko sa inyong lahat!

Peace and abundance to us all!!!
