“And now abide faith, hope, love.”  (1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV) God gives us HOPE. We have hope in the future because Christ loves us. He has promised us a place with Him in heaven for all eternity if Christ is our Savior and Lord.  What are you going through today? Are you sick or despairing? Hope in God, and He will be your comfort and your strength.  God has not promised to remove every problem on this earth, but He does answer prayer and He asks us to come to Him in prayer.

“Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done.” Psalm 105:1 (NIV) Give thanks to the Lord.” God has given us so much! He created the world and everything in it that is good. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. He sent His Holy Spirit to lead, guide and teach us. He loves us!  The Bible says we are to give thanks to the Lord. We can praise Him for who He is — for His character, His goodness, His love and everything about Him. It is good also to thank God for what He has done in our lives — for how He has blessed us, cared for us and provided for us and our loved ones.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”  Matthew 6:33 (NAS) Let us seek to win the world for Christ and bring glory to God and He will supply all our needs in Christ Jesus.

“Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 NIVIf you have accepted Christ as your Savior, God is now your Heavenly Father. Jesus said we should ask the Father in His name

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”

 The Bible is God’s Word.  God did not leave us to wonder and guess as to His will — He has revealed it to us in the Bible. You can read the Bible to find out more about God — to learn about His character and Who He is.  You can learn about how to live a Christian life — or find out more about Jesus Christ when He lived on earth.  The Bible has God’s answers to the most important questions of life.

Be filled with the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:17

 You can be filled with God’s Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is God — here on earth, but invisible — who came to live in the lives of those who have accepted Christ as Savior. 

You do not have to try to live the Christian life on your own power without help.  The Holy Spirit can give you God’s power in your life to overcome sin.  The fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life will be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.  God can help you live the Christian life by His power — His Holy Spirit — in your life!
